Amy Jakubowski
VP/Administration Amy Jakubowski began her career with Brennan Beer Gorman Monk Interiors (BBGM) as a senior designer in 1996 and became a Partner i n 2003. Her design and management skills have ensured the success of many award-winning hospitality projects, including the New York City Millennium Hilton, The New York Palace Hotel, and the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel, as well as several luxury residential interiors for New York City developer LCOR’s buildings, The Charleston and The Chelsea Stratus. Recently she led the team for the branding of TRYP by Wyndham, and she currently serves as Design Partner for the repositioning of an existing Boston hotel to an unbranded boutique, Revere. Before joining BBGM, Amy spent nine years with James D’Auria Associates. As a Senior Designer and Project Manager, she specialized in the design of fashion showrooms, retail shops, and corporate offices for Levi Strauss, Guess and Ellen Tracy to name a few. Amy graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Interior Design and is licensed in New York and Nevada. She is an active member of many professional organizations, including the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), as well as being a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). She currently serves as the VP of Development on the board of NEWH’s New York City Chapter and sits on the NCD 2015 International Advisory Board for the Guri World Design Center in Korea. Her work has been featured in a variety of industry publications, including The New York Times, Interior Design, Hospitality Design, Hotel Business, Metropolis, Contract, Today’s Facility Manager, Buildings, and Display and Design Ideas. Expressing her commitment to the importance of sustainable and environmentally-sensitive design, Amy earned her LEED AP certification in 2004. She has twice been invited to act as a Senior Thesis Mentor for students at the New York School of Interior Design and has spoken at numerous local and national design and real estate industry conferences and panels. Samantha A. Mittler-Eichenberg
Scholarship Samantha Mittler-Eichenberg has served as the Director of Membership for the past 3 years for the Greater New York Chapter of NEWH . In her past she was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Boutique Media Group and most recently a National Sales Manager for Hotel Interactive. Samantha has grown up within the hospitality industry and has developed a love for hospitality. Although she has only been a member for 4 years she first attended an event at the age of 18. She is a graduate of Kent State University where she received a degree in Business and Marketing with a minor in Fine Arts. She is originally from Liberty, Ohio and currently resides in Westchester, New York. Samantha was married last November and now she and her husband are expecting a little girl this October. read more |

At Cheryl Rowley Design of Beverly Hills and David Easton of New York, Alicia brought her signature style for innovative yet classic luxury to the hotel and hospitality industry for clients including the Palomar Hotel, Los Angeles; the Ritz Carlton, San Francisco; the Four Seasons, Philadelphia; the Westin, San Antonio; and the St. Regis, Deer Valley. Sustainable Hospitality Ret Taylor is the Founder and President of R. E. Taylor Associates, an independent sales representation firm based in New York Cit y representing Kimball, Majestic Mirror, Neil Allen and The Stone Resource. Ret is an expert in client relations and business development having successfully co-founded several industry-leading ventures including Saudi Arabia’s first environmental remediation firm and the non-profit Brazilian Green Building Council, Brazil’s leading voice for sustainability. When Ret is not working with clients, he is usually either traveling the world or leading runs through Central Park as the founder of MovNat NYC, a group that encourages New Yorkers to get outside and experience their true nature through exercise. read more |
