Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Art/Art History from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and in 2010 completed her Master of Arts in Interior Design from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Her thesis explored vernacular architecture and sense of place with regards to highway rest area design in New Mexico. She has a keen interest in hospitality and restaurants, loves making lists, writing, and experimenting in her kitchen, and passionately supports the independent art and design scene in the United States. She is thrilled to contribute to NEWH and looks forward to collaborating with the design and hospitality community in Seattle.

She is a past board member of IIDA; she has been a site visitor for the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER) for over 10 years. Stephanie has served on multiple coalitions in pursuit of legal recognition of the interior design profession. She is an advisor for the Interior Design Coalition of Washington IDCW. Stephanie is committed to the effort of securing interior design legislation in al 50 states. It is Stephanie’s tireless commitment to interior design professionalism that fuels her desire to be interior designs "most passionate advocate." Stephanie is now honored to be the Chair of Sustainability for NEWH.
