Jim Dawkins co- presented a work- shop with Dr. Marlo Ransdell of Florida State University at the annual Interior Design Educators Conference entitled "Web-based Communication and Presentation Tools for Designers." Presented in a 3-hour, highly interactive format, the workshop introduced web-based technology applications that support communication within interior design education. Specifically, alternative presentation, documentation, and critique tools were explored. These tools enhance traditional studio and lecture courses by increasing accessibility and interactive communication for interior design students and educators. Conference participants were directly involved in the learning process by working through skill building exercises on their own personal laptops in real time with the instructors of the course.
